In Bolivia, there is no autumn. There are basically two seasons: rain and no rain. In the Chaco, where I lived for the last two years, the leaves died during the dry season, but somehow they did it without changing color. One day there were leaves; the next day, it seemed, they were gone.
Now, being back in the States, it is a real joy to experience autumn once again. This year the temperature change has been slow and there have been rains, and so autumn has been slow and very colorful.
I have had a delightful time driving up and down the East Coast, enjoying the majesty of autumn,
Here are some photos I took last weekend in Butler, N.J. More are available onĀ my Flicker account.
